Temporary Work
This option is covered on the Backpacker and Student Travel Insurance policies.
You may undertake any of the following non-manual or light manual work, paid or unpaid, provided it is not a necessary or significant part of your trip:
- Bar work
- Cleaning (light office work only)
- Computing and IT work
- Farm work (not involving the use of machinery)
- Fruit picking (not involving the use of machinery)
- Hairdressing / beauty treatments
- Museum work
- Music and singing (unless your livelihood before or after your trip is dependant on you being able to sing or play music)
- Nursing or care work (provided you are not administering drugs or medicine)
- Office work and other clerical work
- Photographer
- Shop staff
- Teaching
- Tourist guide
- Waiting / waitressing
